Welcome to Starrytime Keepsakes, where we are dedicated to the
creation of treasured keepsakes and beautiful memories.
A few years ago, shortly after the birth of my first daughter,
some colleagues from various creative professions got together and created a
children's book for a two-year old boy whose father had recently died of
cancer. The book was designed to remind the child of the wonderful qualities of
his father with a cute story about him interacting with a bear. The child loved
his book so much; I wished I could create something for my own child that would
always let her know how much I love her. I remember the sleepless nights,
trying to 'sleep train' my baby girl, wishing she could just feel my love
around her, like her blanket, so she'd know she wasn't alone. The idea for
Blanket Full of Love was born.
Blanket Full of Love was beautifully illustrated by Val Lawton,
who lives in Calgary and has illustrated a number of grown-up and children's
books. It was designed by Ben Kunz of Kunz Design, and edited by Lori Burwash.
It is my sincere hope that Blanket Full of Love becomes a
treasured heirloom to many children and a reminder through the years that, no
matter what, they are loved.
